Stromlo Christian Church is a church for real people who are seeking authentic relationships with God and others. We began in 2010 as a congregation of Crossroads and have continued to grow as we’ve connected with people in the south of Canberra. Stromlo is now an independent evangelical church, which basically means that we take the Bible seriously as we seek to follow Jesus.
You will find a mix of people at Stromlo, with a broad range of interests—but the big thing that unites us is our relationship with Jesus. We put our trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection and we look forward in confident hope to an eternity with him. These convictions shape our life now and motivate us to love God and others. We gather as a community centred on Jesus, willing to count the cost of following him and longing to see others know Jesus and the hope we can have in him.

We’d love you to share the joy of living in relationship with God. So why not come along to Stromlo and check things out. You wont be pressured into joining anything, giving anything, or doing anything. All that Jesus offers is free, and it comes without any hidden fine print.
Sunday mornings at Stromlo are relaxed in style, but engaging and real in content. We have excellent programs for kids and younger teens that run during church. Adults and older teenagers engage with a message from the Bible that is always relevant and engaging. Most people stay on after church to talk together over some food and drink.
During the week
There is much happening during the week at Stromlo. We encourage people to join up with one of our small groups. We call them Life Groups. This is where we can build deeper relationships and encourage one another in following Jesus.
There are groups especially for women, men and also mixed groups. Small groups often meet together in people’s homes. On Wednesday mornings we have women’s groups, with a crèche, that meets at the Hub. Our youth group meets for a time of fun and learning at the Hub on Friday nights.
